Stretch Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 David Gatebe will agree, in fact the R700 would be overspending in his case! yip...case in point
Lexx Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 I was thinking exactly the same thing. Mr Price must think we are all a bunch of poepols for paying R2000+ for Running shoes. They have shown that a comrades winner is running in their Expensive R700. So i guess, those shoes cant be that bad... Stretch 1
ScottCM Posted September 30, 2016 Author Posted September 30, 2016 I enjoyed this, Friday humor Lexx, Mr Winter and KiddiMat 3
Mr Winter Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Hey guys Quick random question, what do you guys do to stop (or sooth) your nipples from chaffing during a long run?
Lexx Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Hey guys Quick random question, what do you guys do to stop (or sooth) your nipples from chaffing during a long run?Take your top off.
Stretch Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Hey guys Quick random question, what do you guys do to stop (or sooth) your nipples from chaffing during a long run? vasoline
ScottCM Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 i run with a tight vest, similar to what you would cycle in. only downfall is that it sits slightly higher on my waste than i would like. BUT longest event i have done in it is a HM. Still use vasoline like stretch says though.
Mr Winter Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Take your top off. Maybe closer to the comrades, at the moment it would be a very scary site Lexx 1
Mr Winter Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Thanks guys, I've used insulation tape before and that actually worked pretty well but I will give the vasoline a try as well.
Stretch Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 all that said...girls dont suffer from chaffed nipples...so you could also find yourself an a cup sports bra as an alternative Mr Winter and Lexx 2
Stretch Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Thanks guys, I've used insulation tape before and that actually worked pretty well but I will give the vasoline a try as well. just be aware that after a while you get stains...you also don't have to put lots on so this eliminates the stains and the size...except for comrades day...then you rub vasoline in every conceivable crevice. there are water based alternatives to vasoline that you will find at a speciality shop that will likely cost you an arm and a leg Mr Winter 1
SeaBee Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I'm cheapskate... and furthest I've gone is marathon distance. I simply use a bit of that 3M(?) white porous tape. Lexx and Mr Winter 2
Hacc Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 all that said...girls dont suffer from chaffed nipples...so you could also find yourself an a cup sports bra as an alternative Girls still chafe everywhere else with a bra, Vasoline works for me. Lexx and Stretch 2
Pulse Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Normal padded, breathable band-aid plaster on the nipples... I don't chafe anywhere else.
Jackes Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I think it's safe to say that the frustrating period in my new Brooks Ghost 9's are now over. There was a piece of sticking on the inside of my foot behind the big toe that chaffed me just whenever it chooses and then the next time not soo much. So I eliminated and changed all the variables that I had on those days, with and without vaseline, thinest to thickest of thin socks. Now the only thing that remains is whenever I run on the dreadmill it happens. Out on the road, even with the thickest socks without any vaseline or nothing funny, 100%. Weird, but oh so happy days.... Lexx 1
