greatwhite Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Go with the Da unit, weight wise these 2 units are about the same, but spares options for da are usually better, also, I don't think the better bearings on the da have 'trickled down' to the ultegra. I've got about 50000 km on a 7800 like yours and it is still going strong. My experience with ultegra stuff is by half that distance it is stuffed, although, to be fair, that was years ago.
droo Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 The derailleurs stay pretty much the same... the tech changes happen in the shifter. It is why I've never understood why they will put an XT rd on a cheaper model but still use deore shifters. Should be the other way around! You can see the RD more easily than the shifter on the showroom floor...
