TBH, it looks like a PnP/Makro special (look at the headset and stem), schoolboy commuter type bike.

Depends what you want to do:

For commuting - Yes.

For offroad riding - No.

That picture tells 1000 words. That bike is not good for anything other than the odd trip to the shops or a jaunt around the block.

If that's all you will be doing, then it's fine. Other than that, don't buy it.

I am willing to bet the gears will not work properly and the pedals will crack after about a month or so.

The reason you can't find info on these is because they are a generic bike. Supermarkets import a whole lot of them from China and just put their own decals on.

I say don't buy it. Rather buy a cheap Single Speed road bike for commuting or a decent second hand MTB if you want to go off road.

Look through the classifieds.

That fusion looks  !

For bicycles in general, "you get for what you paid for" applies & cheap bikes will cost you a whole lot more in the long term.

What should I look for? Frame design? Brakes? Which sites should I search apart from the gumtrees?thanks

If you can make a post in the forum, you should be able to go to the classified section & see what one can get out of your budget...

Be very careful when buying from scumtree, way to many "skelms" on that site.

Silverback is the best value for money bike on the market. Wise choice you made.

The only thing left for you to do is post a picture of your new ride.
