All 3 days plenty of single track! Day 1 is rather tough and day 2 & 3 not exactly walk in park. Day 1 and 2 have similar finish times even though day 2 is somewhat longer. I did the adventure last year and doing the race this year. So many people want to do this race that the competition will be hectic in both adventure and race. Obviously the race will have a stronger feel. The ride will probably have a much more chilled atmosphere even though the atmosphere was great at the adventure last year. Does not matter which of the 3 you do you can be assured of spectacular mtb'ing and great all round experience

Day 2 is a few km shorter than day 1, with less climbing. Expect to finish about 30 minutes to an hour earlier than day 1, provided that you don't burn all your matches on day 1.

Save some in the tank for day 3. Long climbs before you finish. (you might be gatvol for single track by mid day 3 :-)) Awesome race, great water points.

Met eish! This race/ride is super fun. Not too hard or anything. After the walk on day 1 smash it. Just enjoy like eating icecream. Will be doing my 4th one this year. It's brilliant fun.

You had me at ice cream.

Lots of singletrack. The odd moments of technical surprise. Keep something in the tank for the last half of D3 and gun it. Stop and take a picture of the view over Hermanus.

How many hours a week have you benchmarked in the twelve weeks leading up to this event in the past. If you don't mind me asking.

Also my first one. I am still waiting for someone to explain to me how hard w2w is compared to sani. Like for instance is day 1 of w2w as tough as sani day 2?

Also can I take my laptop with and leave it in my tent so that I can work in the afternoons? Told there are lots of places to recharge.

And will there be Clover vanilla milks?

despite "lots of places to recharge" there wasn't any space last year cos some people have to charge their:

Laptop

Phone 1 and

phone 2

Garmin GPS

Power meter

music player (can't use their phone apparently cos GPS + Music doesn't give 6 hrs of battery life)

portable recharge banks sold like hot cakes last year due to this .

Kick back and enjoy. This is by far and away the best stage race in SA. Others may disagree and whilst they're entitled to their opinions, they're wrong!!!  :whistling:

You're going to love it. I personally found S2C much harder but the heat was a killer. Had perfect conditions for W2W last year, so praying for more of the same.
