Hi Guys

I accidentally pulled my front break lever while washing my bike and now cant get my wheel back in. How do I fix this?

I remember there being a thread about it but I cant find it anywhere so any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Take piece of paper and fold in half 3 times, wedge the paper between two pads...should be thin enough.

Take flat screwdriver and apply force on pistons to move them back to position.

I have Tectro Draco breaks. I tried to wedge it back into place but obviously didn't do it hard enough. Thanks for the advice

what do you mean? cant I fix them or are they just crap breaks?

He's taking the piss. The word you're looking for is brakes.

Use a tyre lever so you don't damage the pistons. (Mainly for ceramic piston brakes)

as we say in engineering - the bigger the problem, the bigger the hammer.

To add to that... if you cant fix it with a bigger hammer then you have an electrical problem.

Don't some problems require Duct Tape ?

You want to force something into the gap without damaging the pads.

I usually use an ice cream stick to do the first bit, and when there is a bit of a gap, use a plastic tyre lever. twist it a bit and the pads should retract.
