Maincheese stuffs it up, as I feared would happen, in the last 15kms, thanks to no support from his team.

Sagan put in such a clever attack there at the end but imagine how delighted he must have been to look around and see Froome and GT had followed it. The gap came down quickly at the end. Without GT and Froome they would have been caught for sure. Without Sagan attack Froome would not have gotten away.

Recently, at a secret training camp near the Bahamas, Sagan took Froome for skills training.

Thus far, it has reflected well for Chris Froome...

In remembrance one of Britain's greatest riders and a reminder of the craziness of the race:

Tom Simpson succumbed to heart failure caused by exhaustion at 17:40 on 13 July 1967 ascending Mont Ventoux.

Special mention to domestiques Bodnar and Gee

Yip, cycling is a team sport, despite what the prima donnas of the sport suggest

I must admit, I'm really enjoying Foome's racing! Not a single second gained on an uphill so far.

This might not be the cleverest GC tactics, but man it's cool to see him race his bike!

So, two superb advertisements for PRO cycle racing on the World Tour over the last two days

And the common denominator is...

Peter Sagan
