Yep I'm bummed but it's not the end of the world. I ate pretty much only the fruit cake they supply at aid stations during stg 1. Spoke to a guy who broke his wrist on the prologue so I feel much better off - at least I get to ride!

Bad luck SM, that must be extremely frustrating. Was this your first CE?

A few years ago I got food poisoning from one of those Woolworth sammies they hand out at the stage end each day, luckily I had the whole night to recover.

Why didnt Karl Sprint the Last Couple of Metres?

I think that finish line snuck up on him, (listening to what the Bulls guy in studio said now now)

Think so too. He left it to late. Should've gone with Urs.

We've often see them send one up the road and the 2e rider just sits behind by the other team, to jump them at the end.. think Karl expected the line to be a little further after that last corner.. he still got up to start his sprint but the line was too close so he sat down again[emoji23] [emoji23]

I think Karl was saying this when he came around that corner and saw how close the finish line actually was..  :whistling:

Mmmm, off topic but I think I should watch Inglorious Bastards over the weekend.

Oh wowie. .glad to see Spitz and Yana got the stage win.. unbelievable that there is almost a 20 year age gap there..

Serious respect for Spitz a machine at 44 years young.

And Yana is on a hardtail. .[emoji15]
