I signed my employment offer this morning. If all goes well with the visa process, I'll be in Christchurch by mid Feb.

Good luck!

I trust you've checked to see that Milo cereal is available...

I have not. I have realized how unhealthy that stuff is and now stick to fruit for breakfast...

Fruit Loops!

That said, I'll likely be living off dry toast and 2min noodles once in NZ. Vegemite every 2nd month.

Is there a correlation?

These results correlate with a 2011 health survey conducted by pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline that pronounced South Africa “the third-fattest nation in the world” and a Medical Research Council study, which found that 61% of the South African population is overweight or obese. This is almost double the global rate of nearly 30%, according to the Lancet study.

My daughter is visiting us from CT, she spent a fortnight on South Island in September and showed us her pics last night. Wow, so beautiful...no surprise of course but to listen to her describe what she saw was great.

Ja, but according to the Social Progress Index, at least we're still holding our own in Sub-Saharan Africa...these reports create a higgledy piggledy view of things...
