Looking at the results and using T. B. maths, my position from last year is about 11mins slower this year. Only 7mins and 250 people slower than that.. #positivethinking

This is not a PPA specific race.  Everyone should get a time if they had a ractec chip...

Was an interesting day out! 1C was mostly well behaved. The group did become rather large towards the last third of the race, which made the run back into Stellies a little hairy! Especially with the crazy overtake stunt that clapped out bus tried into oncoming traffic! Had some minor issues, almost went down down in that fall around halfway but finished with the front of the group!

Cyclist was knocked by Corsa, he was okay from what I could see, driver seemed to be trying to explain himself to law enforcement.

That was my dad (TinyK's father-in-law). From what we could gather from what others told him is that the corsa got impatient sitting behind truck in right hand lane and overtook - not being able to see past truck as he went and hit him. Learner driver too. He's got compression fracture in T12 and L1.

 

If anybody saw it happen and can give a statement it will be greatly appreciated as their version of the story is that he swerved in front if the car.....yet the car was stopped slightly diagonally in the lane.

3h05 from 3F for me...and a lot of hard work up front from me and my budd...who dropped back from 1D to start with me  Thanx budd  Was a tough day in the saddle as we virtually solo'ed the whole race, but yes felt good to finish

Last year STC was my first cycle race and got 3:24 from 3C,  this year started 2B .. ended 2:50 , 34 Minutes improvment !!  .. happy piggy..

 

 

Overall very well run show, cars bit issue on home stretch as they got stuck behind slower groups and we had to pass them on yellow lane, no biggy really just had to try focus while half dead.  

 

They have to think of full road closure from klapmuts, even if its just till ~9:30 as bunches was getting massive.  Few times close calls with oncoming traffic .
