Thermophage Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Wish you got those Evil frames here...would drop a left nut for the Insurgent
Odinson Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 That is a very short and tame DH course - so not too surprising that he got a good result on a 29er.
Thermophage Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 That is a very short and tame DH course - so not too surprising that he got a good result on a 29er. Not A 29'er...The Following...the thing is a beast from what people are saying.
Odinson Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Not A 29'er...The Following...the thing is a beast from what people are saying. Is he riding the new Insurgent? Thread topic mentions The Following, which is a 29er.
Nick Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 That is a very short and tame DH course - so not too surprising that he got a good result on a 29er. Interestingly, according to the timing on display and the commentators, he made up all his time in the tech section on the second half of the course, not the wide open fire road. Would be interesting to see how he set it up for the race run.
Jewbacca Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 There will always be haters, no matter who does what on which ever bike/course. This is rad. No place for 29ers in DH..... Bold move here by Luke Strobel... well, lets see how that works out for him Cotton....
Sidewinder. Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Nevermind the wheel size, its Luke Strobel...and I've never heard of anyone else on that leaderboard.
Samurai Pizza Cat Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Nevermind the wheel size, its Luke Strobel...and I've never heard of anyone else on that leaderboard.+1 He'll be quick on virtually any bike. If my memory serves me right the SC and / or Yeti boys have won races riding 29'er trail bikes on this specific DH track before...This track looks very familiar.
Bizkit031 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Interestingly, according to the timing on display and the commentators, he made up all his time in the tech section on the second half of the course, not the wide open fire road. Would be interesting to see how he set it up for the race run. And it's done with only 120mm of travel.
Bizkit031 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Already on the waiting list Come on now organize to bring some Evil into SA
