That is a very short and tame DH course - so not too surprising that he got a good result on a 29er.

Not A 29'er...The Following...the thing is a beast from what people are saying.

Is he riding the new Insurgent? Thread topic mentions The Following, which is a 29er.

Interestingly, according to the timing on display and the commentators, he made up all his time in the tech section on the second half of the course, not the wide open fire road.

Would be interesting to see how he set it up for the race run.

There will always be haters, no matter who does what on which ever bike/course.

This is rad. No place for 29ers in DH.....

Bold move here by Luke Strobel... well, lets see how that works out for him Cotton....

Nevermind the wheel size, its Luke Strobel...and I've never heard of anyone else on that leaderboard.

+1

He'll be quick on virtually any bike. If my memory serves me right the SC and / or Yeti boys have won races riding 29'er trail bikes on this specific DH track before...This track looks very familiar.

And it's done with only 120mm of travel.
