Apple watch feedback

Used the watch this morning with Strava for the first time. Strangely the ride uploaded as an evening ride of 28 Nov! Coincidence or something related to the watch?

If I go to wife's Strava profile I see her ride correctly as this morning and it shows she cycles with me. Even if I click on my ride there it shows evening of 28th ...

Can the date and time be changed somewhere?

Check the region settings on your phone and the watch... Might be set to us

I really want one badly... What are your thoughts on paying the extra cash for the sapphire glass screen. Worth it?

My daughter bought my watch in Paris for me and by mistake purchased the sapphire version. I was thinking of getting the sports version.

But now that I have it, its worth it - It just does not scratch. Just over 3 months old and no sign of a scratch on the glass or case.

ok so the wife wants one for Christmas. She does not train nearly as often as I do as we have an 18 month old who requires most of her spare time.

She does the park-run with him on Saturdays and she tries to go for walks (fairly brisk, uphill with a running pram) to some amenities in our area (everything is uphill!) about 3 times a week. I get that she'll score points with the park-runs, but will she be able to log points with the walks? What constitute a training session? Walks last anything from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the route and whether she stops to let our son play on the swings, slides etc.

Yes, she will.

Park Runs change to 300 points as of next year, whereas a workout logged by a fitness device (this is one) will be between 100 & 300 points if it's lower than an hour (Gerald's matrix on the last page or one before)

Going on an average of, say, 200 points per "exercise" ie walk - she'll be getting 600 points per week from the walks and then another 300 for the park run.

Even if she ratchets up to the max of 1,200 points, she'll just need to do anther walk or another run where she's at high intensity for at least 30 minutes (5k should do it)

So yes, it is possible for her to do it even at the max points level.

So strava on mtb ride worked well, shows hr, speed, distance, time... All come up when glancing at watch imidiatly.

Hour and 15 min ride seems like it took 19% battery. But will have to test more. My iphone dropped around 9%

Took watch off charge at 100% last night at 8, and now at 7:29 it's at 78% Inc the strava ride.

For rides below 60km will work great, but longer rides might be issue

I assume you still need to have your phone on  you while using Strava via the watch? Or is there a GPS receiver on the watch?
