Valid point made above that you can dope yourself to hilt during ban and then train at that work load for massive adaptation. I think you have to let them know of your intention to start racing again 6 months prior

rouxtjie Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I want to believe that Nolan learnt from his mistakes and has been racing clean, I suppose only he will really know. I feel most for the dopers team mates who are often left without a sponsor as happened in his case. What I am sceptical about are riders who come back stronger after a ban than before (when they were obviously doping) and go on to podium almost immediately, I wonder if anyone is ever tested randomly while serving their ban, seeing as they are not racing, and are also not licensed ?Maybe one of the doc's can elaborate or have studies that have proven this.... I am pretty sure some of the benefits of doping are permanent, even if its just psychological.

Not saying you are 1 of them, just saying...............I think it's different due to the context. afaik, Nolan took some medicine in the naughty list to help with an injury. DG was the glory boy in our top local epic team with a documentary team following them around, but was doing systematic EPO. One is a much greater sin in my mind at least
