The frog hesitates, afraid of being stung, but the scorpion argues that if it did so, they would both drown. Considering this, the frog agrees, but midway across the river the scorpion does indeed sting the frog, dooming them both. But he has more than just the Hub community to make amends with. She said he stole or sold her car, or something, and that his family had even written him off. So I doubt anyone is going to get their money back, esp while he sits in rehab! Unless he has won the lottery.
