eccc whippet Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 sacrilege. Plus, the place I'm going definitely doesn't do that. just like changing your eating habit...it seems we need to start changing our eat out locations...flip it is difficult to find places that make healthy food.mug and bean do an awesome burger with no bread bun and sweet potato chips.afros is my favorite hang out during the day...they do a tasting chicken salad for R39 and you can have it hot or cool or both.we need to start a thread healthy eating spots.
eccc whippet Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 well, I've decided not to commute home today, cos I am super duper tired and my ass is sore. I'm doing a 2 hour ride tomorrow evening. Just feeling guilty cos I wanted to do the entire week by bike. But damn... tired as hell, and I know that if I do ride home, and back here in the morning, that I won't be able to ride for as long tomorrow after work. damnit, I sound like I'm justifying my slacking off. dont worry myles I will wait for you at 106 kg...no rush
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I was going to say this morning that you need to ease into it, too many hours without being used to it isn't good and you just eventually burn out so absolutely nothing wrong with taking a break. I have done a whopping 13km this week, but just feeling extremely tired after 4 long weeks so not feeling bad about it at all.Yeah Bro I had a feeling it may have been a lot to start just like that with no ramp up, but ja. Still had a GOOD hour on the bike this morning so I'm not entirely disappointed. Again. One day at a time. Still on target for the week.
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 dont worry myles I will wait for you at 106 kg...no rush Hopefully by next Friday. ODAAT. One day at a time
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Sometimes I don't get it. Must just be water retention or something, cos I sure as hell didn't do anything to warrant a 0.8kg increase. 1,200 - 1,400 kcal consumed every day this week, and the same expended except for yesterday and Monday. So almost a net zero ito consumption. 108.9 Boggles
eccc whippet Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 106.1 this morning down ...gona be huge celebration when I break back into the 105 kg...my weight after the Amashova last year...I was 128.1 kg on the 30 Jan last year [emoji3] Myles don't stress about it...just keep at it. Everyday my fitness pal tells me I am not eating enough. I am cutting the junk and eating till I feel I have had enough...will continue for at least another week doing what I am doing...if I don't drop below 105 by next Friday I will make a few changes.
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 I think that's the justification I need to stop weighing in most days bad convert to a weekly regimen
eccc whippet Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 A reminder of why i am doing this... The pic on the left was my first ride on the hybrid along the beachfront. 2014...the middle one was when i weighed about 128 kg in jan 2015 and the one on the right is after the amashova 2015 at 105 kg...since that day i have gone back up to 111 kg and today back down to 106.1 kg and dropping slowly.
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Well done, ise! And yeah, thinking it's just water retention from increased exercise volumes. The body is a funny thing
NotSoBigBen Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Excellent job there isetech, like you say just keep at it! Myles my captain do not get discouraged ..... you are doing all the right things and in time you will reap the rewards. I know sometimes though one thinks WHEN but it will come!
eccc whippet Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 The best advice I can offer...DONT LET YOURSELF GET FAT...so even the skinny people reading this thread...take note...it is long hard lonely road loosing weight...and don't think it will not happen to you...I see it happening to skinny people everyday...I never had this while I was a smoker...the older you get the harder to get rid of it...at 40 years old I dumped it in 4 months...at 50 years old ....19 months later I am still at it.
Cois Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 So... This morning I was looking for clean clothing to wear... And I spotted a denim that I bought about 4 months ago that for some reason shrunk in the wash.... Of that is the story I stuck to. So I took the denim and tried it on... And by some miracle the denim increased in size. It fitted. SO I stepped on the scale... 90,1 kg So the flu had a bit of good in it...
Veebee Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 I think that's the justification I need to stop weighing in most days bad convert to a weekly regimen for me it works best to weigh in once a week as you will always see fluctuations daily which could end up discouraging you.
eccc whippet Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 another tip to add to weight loss exercise routine...taken from yotube videosweight loss...cut he junk...it is a good start.exercise...if you need to do 10 reps for example push ups...you can only do 2...find a way to do it...ie...do the 2 push ups the normal way...then drop your knees and do as many as you can...if another 10 are possible of a 15 rep...then the last 3 stand up lean forward and push against the wall...until eventually you can do all 15 the normal way...i believe the point they are trying to make is try no matter how you do it...if you keep at it you will eventually get it right...but if you give up after 2 you will never succeed.
