Besides the obvious Minix or Nvidia what budget options are there? Seeing that I am testing the water I don't twant to spend more than R1200. I found a MS8 on bidorbuy for R1000. 2GB ROM, 8 GB RAM with kitkat 4.4.I have a HD TV and don't forsee getting a 4kTV in the near future. My only real requirement is an interface that is quick to respond and easy to use. Hate it if apps take forever to load or if I struggle to navigate in an app. Not a gamer, wil mostly use it for netflix/showmax/redbulltv and internet browsing. I might try kodi. Thus 3 questions, what is the benefit of 2GB ROM over 1GB and 8GB RAM over 16GB and kitkat 4.4 vs 5 or 6. Based on my needs indicated above will 1GB/8GB/kitkat be sufficient. Astrum Network Patch Cable Cat5e 30.0Meter - NT230 Go down to the local electrical supply wholesalers, buy as much cat 5 twisted pair as you need and 2 or more terminating boxes. Or just buy RJ45 cable ends and a cable pinch tool to terminate RJ11 and RJ45 cables. Then run the cable from one router to the other and bob's your auntie. Check on google for how to match the 4 twisted pairs to each end of the cable. Or copy a cable you already have. Cheap as half the price and you learn a new skill. Two routers on the same network comes with its own sets of problems (different IP address ranges which do not speak to each other, or IP address clashes (it can be configured around these). Also most routers require some juggling to obtain an "upstream" IP address (can the router be used for a fibre connection? might be the easiest question to ask to know the answer No problem if you designate the 2nd router as DHCP off and load primary router as DHCP server. Monday Morning I received an email saying my password had been changed. Some chap from Brazil had hacked my account and changed my password and email. I had to phone them and get them to reset everything.
