Indeed, I do agree, banks locally are very risk averse, especially when it comes to new start ups.

And quick to penalise small businesses, it's bizarre, so often the banks take a harder line and more bureaucracy than the government departments. Conversely though being a supplier or running a tender with government departments is fraught with paperwork to counter corrupts practices, which ends up becoming counter to whole entrepreneurial spirit.

Consequently, and this is a generalisation as much as my personal opinion, financial and government institutions are all too often so far removed from the day to day reality of people and functionality.

That said, have noticed a few small consultancies/finance companies that have formed and offer services to small and medium businesses. So as to guide and even help secure funding.

From the rural cottage industry to medium sized sustainable business.

It's encouraging :)

Absolutely, I agree completely, they both tend to talk a good game, but their actions speak differently.

It's such a pity that some anodized products fade really badly in a few years. I have seen many pink Hope products (mainly rotors) that were once red. My Loaded bars have really faded badly on both my bikes. The Spank stuff is really nice kit.

so as the spank seems to be scarce locally then what other MTB bars would anyone recommend as i was looking at the vibrocore in spank range...would prefer ALU as im a bit wary of carbon
