Thanks for the replies so far...

My Suunto is not a GPS capable device, (T3d) , but I do have a bike pod on the bike that allows for me to track a ride if I start it on the watch itself. So with this I can record the ride & upload it to the Suunto site via moves count.

However, what I don't really like about it, it that it does not auto pause, so if I am riding on the weekend, and stop at a traffic light for a few minutes & that is done many times on a 4 hour ride the watch carries on running & this adds to the ride time although you are stationery.

count out a standard intersection traffic light next time you stop...you will be surprised...they are very rarely over a minute

I use the Wahoo TickR belt with my phone and Strava, works well, but Strava do not work unless you move.

I use Strava outside and then Wattbike in the gym. I upload the Wattbike to strava, then it is fine.

Unless you really going to be seriously training the Free Strava should be fine.

The biggest thing is that you do not see your suffer score.

You can set Strava to not autopause. Might that be the issue?

Polar does indeed...

Hi Carbon.I know that it was coming but have not received info from polar as yet .I use a Polar v800 .There is a complicated way to upload to strava via file swap ,but i am not a IT geek

No. Just go on strava on PC and add you polar account. When you sync with polar Flow on your phone it then sends it automatically to Strava.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, much appreciated.

Will look into the Wahoo & Polar HR belts further before purchasing one.

Will also evaluate the premium for the rest of the month to see if it is worth it for me.

Thanks again everyone.

Anyone who knows what the difference between this HRM and the entry level wahoo\polar H7 is? It's half the price of the wahoo and the Polar H7 and seems to do the exact same thing as those two...

H7 is a Bluetooth belt, straight forward. I would compare it to the Muvit belt. The reason we're not selling the Muvit belt stems from back when we used to sell Bryton. The reality is that you either buy a "hit or a miss" with regards to quality. HR Belts take quite some strain around a sweaty chest, quality assurance is a must. If I have to choose between Polar and Muvit I won't think twice to go with Polar. Local back up is also a must....

Why I like the Wahoo TICKR. It has a couple of features that stands out:

- TICKR is dualband ANT+ and Bluetooth at the same time. Connect multiple devices/watches.

- TICKR has upgradeable firmware, making bug fixes or algorithm updates via the app quick and makes the belt less redundant. They recently opened up the belt to function with Apple watches.

- LED indicators show you when the belt is is connected and visually shows when HR pulse is active.

- I believe Team SKY uses it. They won't use crappy, inaccurate or unreliable products.

The TICKR in my opinion is a no brainer.
