I've been offline since 37km to go, as I've had to entertain my wife's wish to go for our (now) regular tandem ride.

All I can say is Wow! And not for the first time. I said it after Kwiatkowski and

Sagan got away and stayed away at E3.

Sagan's form is unbelievable and I'm surprised others allow him to get away. It should now be read as "probably unable to stay with him".

He said.. Flanders was the goal for the season and he has worked incredibly hard to achieve his goal.. again his win today as with last week is so memorable.

He rode a great race. .Tomorrow when he is less emotional about the disappointment of coming 2e, he will see that. He has entertained us so much throughout the years.

Here is still Roubaix left for him.

Thx Fabulous [emoji122] [emoji122]

I think trying to bridge to Sep and Sagan was a bridge to far. After that he was shaking to much in the saddle. Didn't look comfy at all.

He rode the hardest race he could and it wasn't enough. No one was going to beat Sagan today. He'll see that but it shows how special he is. Second for anyone else would be great. But somehow for a guy like him it's bitter sweet (not a win). There's not a lot like him around.

Chancellera should not feel to bad about Flanders, there was simply no beating Sagan yesterday even if he had made the break with / to them.

Perhaps he feels worse because its his alleged last one?

It was a flippen tough race. .pace was so high from the start. It had all the drama that we've come accustomed to..

Cancellara is definitely a one of a kind rider and racer with super high standards with his racing especially where it concerns the classics. I think when he pauses for a moment and reflects on his legacy and the legacy of his duels with Tommeke he will hopefully realise that he has added significantly to the story of the classics. Second in what may have been his last RVV is a damn good placing. He was beaten by better rider, one who in my opinion looks set on emulating the Spartacus standards when it comes to cobbled classics!

Lol

Like someone said the other day..

Rockstars wish they were Sagan

It was incredible. .

That was me Gen. I said that.

Sagan is really starting to come into his own. He is an incredible racer. Looking forward to seeing him dominate over the next few years dueling with Kwaikowtski, Martin, Degenkolb, Kristoff and Kittel.

Jeez.. missed out on the race yesterday due to some family craziness but had the smarts to PVR the thing and avoid all news, technology and the rest until finished watching @ 1am this morning.

What a brilliant race. I'll put my hand up and say I've not been 100% on Sagan and wondered what he was going to be with the WC hoops on.

The answer is... awesome. He's like an old skool champ' not afraid to fail (if 2nd place is ever a failure) because he wants to race, has to race and isn't paralysed by trying not to lose. He's copped it from alot including his bosses and kept doing it his way.

I'm now a 100% Gen fan.

This is the part of his resilience that's been so awesome.

The media and onlookers was hyping more about his 2nd placings than he was.

He kept grinta style, fighting the fight and showing up with max effort.

What a champ.

Unless he changed helmets for the winning photo, he did not use it yesterday
