Where is the ass end of joburg?? Have sent you a reply re repair and the best way I can see how to do it. Can expect a bit of paint work to be done and addition of approximately 100 grams.

When you are finished I will collect it and sort the paintwork out

Had some stainless bits coloured a while back. Similar process to anodizing and just a good finish. Anodizing the triangle will also be an option as it does add to strength of ally especially a hard anodize, only issue is hard anodize is limited colour wise.

Ampandy always knows what he is talking about, it would be in good hands.

The rear triangle removed. Ampandy collected already, he really knows his stuff and super helpful.

Feeling good that my baby will have a good operation and out of icu soon :)

Cool man. I had a frame that snapped off at the exact same position. Had it repaired by a pro. Lasted forever thereafter.

Can send you pics of it blowing bubbles in the stripping tank, will be swimming for a few hours. Jokes aside. Will post what pics I can take during the repairs. Heat treatment process and if it goes for anodizing is out of my hands though.

Hi AllanD. Have checked all pivot bearings and unfortunately on the break side the front pivot is very tight rear pivot is rough. Non break side front pivot bearing is rough and rear seems fair. Possibly the added stress from poor pivot could have added to the break. Will suggest replacing all 4.

Thats just great, as if a break is not enough. I actually noticed the two front ones were not lekker and had it in my mine to replace em.

Thanks for the updates. Keep us posted...with pics
