I like these bikes more and more!

I need some motivation for getting back on the bike after the disc replacement in my I'm neck, I'm considering the entry level Capra AL.

Question. I am 182cm tall, my current bike (Trek Fuel EX 7 2011) is a large (21.5"), I fall just below the measurement for the Capra in a large, how will I know if the bike will fit me properly?

Yip. Saw what wetsuits cost nowadays, compared to my old Reef, but my Rheopaipo is still in good nick, so even at a R4k investment it's a bargain. Can't even get wheels for that !!!!!

I'm often embarrased when people who are interested in the sport ask me what decent bikes cost. It really is ridiculous.

But as I said, people pay with a smile so it won't change. We are unfortunately the poor people who can no longer afford to pay the rates and taxes in their gentrified neighbourhood.

I was just saying to my wife how ridiculous MTBing is becoming.... And some people happily pay these prices? I see new bikes with RS1 forks all over the bloody place, next to new top of the line Cannondale and Specialized bikes.. Am I missing something? Am I not earning enough? Do people finance their purchases?

I live on the garden route, a MTB Mecca. But sheesh.... I don't know what I'll do when my Scott Spark eventually goes vrot. No ways I can justify the price for a similarly specced bike.

It'll begin to feel like living in Cuba... Just maintaining old buggered up bicycles instead of cars.

I'm going back to racing Enduro motorbikes. It's cheaper.
