nonky Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 This is enough to make me throw up: Two cyclists were seriously hurt when they were knocked over by a bus near the Voortrekker monument on Wednesday afternoon.Emer-G-Med spokesperson Braam Kruger said the bus drove away afterwards, leaving the injured cyclists behind in Eeufees Road.When paramedics arrived, the two were lying on the side of the road.“Upon assessments, it was found that both cyclists required Advanced Life Support care. They were stabilised on the scene and then rushed to a nearby hospital for further treatment.”Kruger said: “Eyewitnesses reported that a bus knocked over two cyclists and fled the scene, leaving the riders with serious injuries,” he said.The metro police were on the scene to investigate the events leading up to the collision, Kruger said.Spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said he was not aware of the accident but would investigate.

I hope this POS is found. Don't buses have trackers or anything on them?

Heel Drop Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 saw lots of people on mobile phones when riding on the weekend - one truck driver drove straight trough a stop ( the one @ voortrekker monument) did not even blink or saw the stop How does a driver not see the people on the side of the road unless his is concentrating on something other then the road hope these guys are OK
the_other_guy Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 The one cyclist came off better than the other. Brandon got hit by the bus and took out the other cyclist. Brandon is still in ICU at the moment. Badly hurt. Pelvis is shattered, spinal and other internal injuries.
