Yeah and they seeded my fat ass in B for the marathon, gonna get lapped like a biatch!

Everyone sees me on the start line!  :blush: I told my buddies im going to line up in the front of the start group and make like im really in it to win it. When the gun goes off i am going to start like a bat from hell and as soon as we are past the tennis courts im going to pull over to rest.  :w00t:

The long route also changed they only climb the old pass over to nuweberg dam and then come down back into the country clubs grounds and does not climb to the top service roads any more. From there they go to the a to z trails which is really why i want to do it.

The route description say we are going up nuweberg but it does not look like we are going up there on the new map?

The route description is wrong. The map is apparently right. You will also notice that the description says something about welcome to our 2nd leg of our new WC series...its still the stuff from last year.

Last year there were only 3. I stopped at first one to rinse off mud from my drivetrain. Skipped the second one coz according to the total elevation at that time we already climbed 1200 out of the 1400m. Turned out there was an extra 400m and 7km that day I wasn't bargaining on. :oops:

And please remember to not use the clubhouses toilets otherwise that kaalkop oomie with the tattoos behind the bar will *** you out!

So, did not like the half marathon route.  Also felt sick through the night with a stomach ailment. Should not have ridden.  As soon as I put down the hammer, I got bad nausea and a sharp headache. So I tried to ride as hard as I could without feeling real bad, but some light nausea remained with me through the race.  Actually almost turned back after 3kms.

 

Another thing.  Who got stung, wait, rephrase, who did NOT get stung by bees? Really stupid of the organisers to lay out the route past those bee cages. One guy next to me completely freaked out, and the more he screamed, the more the bees stung him.
