No Thank You!

the spitty is here to stay .... it has been a very very very long time since I have owned a duallie frame and not felt the need to be "looking" at other options.

I know you're a very loyal and faithful owner... but it's alway good to throw some temptation out there to test you! ;)

How does that Prime ride on a day to day? I'm really keen to know more about it and if it's a good match for all our kinds of trails or is it more a super solid, enduro monster truck, Evil The Wreckoning type thing. I get the Phantom is the go to short travel 'trail' 29'r and the spitty is the more smaller wheeled trail, am do most things slayer. Just trying to get where it fits in to our landscape and it's ride / handling style.

I would say probably towards an eduro rig. Does not climb that great to be honest. Lets put it this way. I wont take it for a 60km CX race or stage race. The Spitty is more playful where the Prime a tank that allows you to make errors and still make it out in one piece.

Dependent on the rider I guess. I see BlackSnow mentions it does not climbing very well....lets say it is heavier than the Phantom in terms of feel on the climbs, but I have found it climbs far better than expected!

Its a big bike, make no mistake!

If one is looking for a out and out trail bike, the Spitfire wins in the long travel category. It can be playful, it can be aggressive...depends on the rider.

The Prime you need to be switched on 100% of the time. It demands aggressive riding, but pays in dividends in spades. It will blast through anything.

Strangely enough, the Phantom would be my choice of the one bike to do it all in Cape Town if I was forced to choose one bike to rule them all.......even though it is shorter travel.

You can rally the **** out of that bike and it just keeps coming back for more! I have done everything from hit downhill lines to do W2W on it, it is literally the Swiss army knife of the range... in this country *disclaimer right there*

What are you guys doing with the blue one that is just gathering dust there also... ;)

Might see if I can fit in that Silver one as I'd love to see how it goes against my smuggler.

Just a quick one ... those of you on Spitty's ... how much sag are you running on your shocks and what sort of length travel are you running on your forks?

14mm sag on DB Air Inline (recommended is 15mm), with a little added HSC

160 Pike fork, 30% sag more or less

pssstttt and if I run a RS Monarch ... same mm I would assume?

30% on the fork, does the front not dive on you, or do you just dial up the slow speed compression?
