Hi Hubbers,

I have recently seen that WKO4 has been released for desktops. Has anyone had an experience with it and would you suggest the software? I enjoy the numbers side of cycling and feel that this tool may be able to add further analysis which I can do personally. I am just not convinced that at a price tag of R2 700 (?) is worth it.

I do currently have access to TrainingPeaks, but am struggling to see the value add that WKO4 would add over and above this already powerful tool.

Also, on a side note, it would be great if you have some graphs/analysis which you have setup in TrainingPeaks. I have created one or two overlap charts which monitor current form and performance.

Thanks!

I was a WKO diehard fan.

Until they said V4 will be release in 2013.  Then 2013 Q3.  Then 2014  Then 2015

2016 it happened.

In the mean time I went over to Golden Cheetah.

At first I hated it.  Too much click here, do that, set this up.

Until a friend of mine bought WKO4 for MAC and showed me that weirdness that is WKO4.  "Too much info" was my first reaction.

I put my head down and learned the ins and outs of GC and I will never look back.

And it is free.

For me it gives me more than enough info in order to track my training and fitness.

Also have a look at golden cheetah google group, a lot is being said there, dont always understand it, but you will get an answer for every question.

Downloaded GC, took a look and closed the programme.

Never opened it again. Perhaps I should commit some time see if I can get something out of it. Better that than throw R2 700 at WKO4.

I saw there is a Beta.

And?  Worth the risk to install?

I have had no problems, kept the old version still running just in case. Looks a bit more refined to me ..... functionality wise I am sure you are more qualified than me to say
