Difficulty in adding Garmin Edge 500

Hi Guys,

 

Please can you assist me??

 

For the past week I have had difficulties in adding my Garmin Edge 500 when using Garmin Express in order to upload my activities to GarminConnect. I am running Windows 10. Worked before....but now all I get is this message.... :eek:

There was a problem a few days ago when Garmin was down for maintenance but seem ok at the moment.  

 

I have been trying to connect my 500 today with problems of Windows 10 not recognising the unit as a USB.  Had to try 3 different cables before the issue resolved itself and just did an update and synced my weekend rides.  So working here with my 500 and Garmin

My laptop picks up the Garmin Edge 500 unit....but I get the "servers down"  message all the time!!

when in doubt, uninstall and reinstall.

 

but... if your heat unit is updated, ALWAYS get it running before you hop on your bike as the unit may need a lengthy boot sequence. if it sounds like I'm speaking from annoying experience, it's because I am.  :cursing:

If you continue to battle with Express just use the website and upload the file by browsing the unit and selecting the activity.

I had the same issue a while back.

 

Uninstalled connect, downloaded and installed the latest version and the issue was resolved

Been doing that!! But, I hate uploading all my activities manually!!!  :cursing:

@Gerhardc,  mine also not syncing..  Uninstalled  .16 version , ran latest 4.1.18  version , but still not finishing syncing [Windows 7 ]

OK!!!

 

Here's what I did!

 

I deleted my Garmin Device from my Garmin Connect profile.

 

I then performed a Master Reset on my Garmin Edge 500 (thanks Dr Google! ^_^ )

 

I then started up Garmin Express again, connected my Garmin Edge 500 and voila...it picked it up and I was able to add the Garmin device to my Garmin Connect profile!! :clap:  :clap:  :clap:
