LeoKnight Posted October 31, 2016 Share FWIW- using dishwasher works great until you end up in a wet race and it turns back to slippery soap and you are holding the grips in your hands on a downhill. Use something that evaporates - carburettor cleaner used to be the thing we used on motorbikes. Works well for me as its alcohol based....Not a bad suggestion, think I will have to get mine off and do some reapplication... With regards to the putting them on, mine also started to cut a little with the first side, but luckily I had a par end plug that fitted snugly on the end, and no more problems with the grip being damaged by the bar end lerouc

BSG Posted October 31, 2016 Share Some lekker brandy works just as good and your bike always smells drunk A bad day cycling is better than a good day working.
Rocket-Boy Posted October 31, 2016 Share any alcohol works. My weapon of choice is meths, plug up one end with a thumb and pour a bit in then swish it around and it goes on like its nothing.
