Hopefully they will replace it, if not you can sell it to me for cheap :P

I have tried twice to unload the whole bike for less than what you pay for ultegra Di2...not even 1 response...just shows how worthless 2nd road bikes are or how crap the resale of merida bikes are...lesson learnt.

this bike is in mint condition as you can see by the pic...i have spent a fair amount of money to make sure everything is 100 %...even replaced all the bearings just in case...wheels where returned to J&J to be checked and trued...Di2 has been had the latest firmware upgrades...checked and aligned to make sure the gears change perfect...even the brake pads which where new have been replaced because it is a 2014...just in case the rubber might be a bit perished...right down to the tyres...also 2 years old and even though they still had the little hairy bits i put new tyres front and back....bar tape has been replaced...the only thing i havent replaced are the brake cables.

Not even the chain makes a noise anymore...since using rock & roll chain lube.

If i can get the levers sorted...then this bike will be 100 % ...and we can move on and focus on the training and fuel to get my fat ass over the amashova finish line in under 4 hrs this year...last year well over 4 hrs with time wasted kaput on the grass at the 70 km mark.

So, wanna swap your Di2 for sram red?? Problem solved:)

I have been thinking about it while driving home...what do i do?

I am at a point where i was going to consider exchanging with someone for a mechanical group set...which i might still consider...but gona wait and see how shimano handle this issue...i cant point finger if i havent given them an opportunity to assess the problem...that is why even though it sounds like i am flogging a dead horse...i am gona pay to strip...ship and assess.

Coolheat have a 5 star customer service rating.

all 4 of my bikes are shimano equipped...everything from brakes to group set...the only component which is not shimano is the crank on the merida...it is a sram red...which i had no choice in ...as i bought the bike second hand...i would have fitted an fsa crank as i have just done on my trek.

Something else which should be considered...i buy local...i have never bought online.

If they sort it out then it is simple...i collect the bike...problem solved...this thread goes dead.

My other option...i strip the Di2 and fit it on my trek...it makes so much chain noise i wouldnt even notice the buzzing sound...i already have a wheel set which can take an 11 speed cassette...just a matter of moving everything over...then buy a new Di2 group set and fit it on the Merida...then i have 2 bikes running the same...which makes it easy to swop if there are any problems.

Decided to take a look at these levers (after doing a little more scratching...I got a bad feeling about what the outcome of the assessment is going to be) ...I am sure he will be amending and adjusting the price...sooner than later...I have made an offer considering the condition of these "new" levers.

I will however try stay positive... be patient and wait for the result of the assessment.

Hi All, I got myself a Trek Domane with Di2, unfortunately I can not do Full Syncronized shifting, is there any way around it? New Battery or new Junction box? or is it a hopeless case. Thanks in advance,
