Not taking any chances with those diesel motors over 189km with that experience, its a matter of when not if!! :P

 

Well rode gents, 18th is a proper effort

 

As promised, we waved a smiled when we passed you just before the neutral zone.

I heard a team thought the team car was going to supply bottles etc.

 

So rocked up to an empty car at the stops!

I enjoyed the DC (was my first).  Was with a slow team, so probably got passed by all of you, but it was good fun!  We got the Charles Milner award too for all 12 crossing the line together.  There were times where I may have wanted to ditch the slow guys and carry on, but there was a definite sense of satisfaction literally pushing guys up the last few hills when they'd hit the wall already and staying together as a team.

It's different to most other road events and I can see why so many go back year after year.

what was your time like dirtypot? I am contemplating the going slow ride for this event. Just the wind scares the whatnots out of me
