New 650B wheelset

Hi Guys,

 

I'm busy building up a Giant Trance and am looking at a set of wheels to put on them.

 

I'm looking at the following but don't know much about the brands, has anyone got any reviews or opions on the following wheels

The other option is to purchase the rapide hub set and build a set of wheels up on WTB or Inferno rims, but will definilty work out more.

 

Any suggestions or help...

I replaced the stock wheels on my trance with the rapide ones. Huge difference! They were cheaper and wider than the funn wheels which swayed my decision. Had them awhile and really happy.

I have a trance as well with Novatec hubs on inferno 25 rims. Lekker strong wheels, but I would suggest going for even wider rims.

And the Novatec hubs are way better than expected.

These hubs have that angry bee sound to them due to the magnetic drive. Get them up to speed and they sing

Lots of options. I was in a similar situation.

 

Just went for the super common Flow EX on Hope Pro 4. They are common for a reason. No regrets.

There are more exotic options but when I factored in everything I chose the above combo.

 

There are new wider flows coming but I am not sure when they will get to SA. Probably a couple of months.

I put Easton Arc 30 with Hope Hubs on my Trance. Very lekker, very happy.
