Hi guys! Just been to the briefing.

How strict is this drafting rule, reason why I'm asking is not to try get away with drafting but simply due to me being scared I bimistake end up being within 12m of someone without realizing (not sure if I'll be able to tell what 12m is on the bike)

Again, not trying to get away with it... just worried about a silly mistake.

Thanks! Super excited!

Not strict on age groupers an generally they will warn you first. You will see loads of draughting most of it intentional, so don't worry too much about it. With the amount of road and cyclists bunches tend to happen.

Forget 12 meters thats impossible. Do the math. About 50 % of the field swims between 38 - 45 minutes so even with the rolling start 12 meters is impossible. Tou know when you draft. Dont sit on a wheel it is that simple. Others will, you shouldnt. Not too strict but a few years back there was bunch riding.

It's easy to spot the difference be someone who is drafting and someone who got stuck behind a bunch of sorts when you are a ref.

When you are trying to pass just shout at the cheaters in front of you telling them you want to pass.

I'm a slow swimmer and struggle to get past the bunches going out

Was a looooong hot day out there.

Highlight of my day was being cheered on by Stuart Marais as we took the turn heading to the red carpet

Something went wrong with the swimstart we (40min) group only started at 7:45

Was *** hot on the run, and this fatboy and heat is not good mix.
