short vs long travel "trail" bikes

Read the first comment and replies.  Pretty much on point iro short travel big-hitters. Their too little of everything and not enough of anything.  Get a 150mm+ bike and be done.

So may have had a sneak peak at the 2017 Remedy.

 

Longer top tube, 150mm F+R across all models and Boost spacing. 

 

Comes in at same price point as Canyon + added support of LBS is kinda swaying me.

They have some great options at competitive prices for both mid and long travel steeds.

No orange or green, and the rims aren't colour coded.

I don't know what the geometry numbers are like but compared to "modern bikes" that wheelbase looks short. I think it's the position of your arse in comparison to the rear wheel...

 

Edit: On second thoughts, that down tube may be the culprit...
