Toptube bags - Are they legal?

Generally If we are riding and I start noticing peoples saddle bags, socks and other stuff, its time to tell the oke at the front to pick up the pace a little. :)

Seriously, I try not to make judgements of riders regarding fashion, bags and what bikes they ride. Ive seen okes with massive saddle bags wearing some very weird kit ride the stuffing out of everyone.

If saddle bags is the new name for muffin tops, I can say I have been passed at pace by guys with them too!! :(

If you can climb faster than the guy with the top tube bag, then you can heckle him. If you can descend faster than the guy with the backpack, then you can tune him.

If however you are slow and have a camelbak/top tube bag/handlebar roll or heaven forbid a saddle bag, then just make sure you don't give a flying fart about what people think of you.

Lastly, if you are bike packing, planning a freedom challenge or a monster tide like that, then do whatever you like. You'll be classified y as crazy anyway.

You dont need a top tube bag, you just need a friend with one. He will have all the spares you need.

Samurai Sword, Bomb and a postive attitude is all you need if your buddy has a TopTubeBag or Camelbak.

This is the best policy, also, how have I missed this thread, 8 pages is too much to read. Any highlights?

M1936 Musette Bag Bedroll
From the Camp Crowder Central Signal Corps School Workbook

HIGHLY doubt this was ever used in combat or even anywhere other than while in initial training.
Still very interesting & helpful if you're doing a training impression for a living history.

Ja, that could have been awkward.
