To be honest, reading the thread I think he was treated badly and he had a right to complain, when you are in an industry where you deal with the public you need to have people skills, and thats everybody in the business who comes into contact with the customer, not just the owner, unfortunately, it appears this manager lacks those skills.

 

It is of no consequence who was right and who was wrong, arrogance and rudeness negates any high ground, I am quite certain had it been handled differently with tact and consideration for the customer (who in effect is paying your rent and your wages) it would never have ended up here in the first place.
