Its about complaining to the right people, complaining to the wrong people doesnt help much to solve the problem. Not picking a fight, just trying to help.

I understand that 100%.

What I fail to grasp is that its ok for me to jump through hoops to get it resolved.

Hey Eldron, unlike yr nuts I did actually scratch. I called cycle lab to no avail.

Now, the real kicker here is. I received about 20 sms's before I opted out (AT MY COST) and I still get SMSs ...

hey, I am the customer...cyclelab are illegally spamming me so I have to now pick up the phone too.

no wonder we get shoddy service in ZA, customers to compliant.

I'm not sure scratching someones nuts is going to solve the problem...but hey for the sake of having an open mind...give it a go. You might want Eldron's consent first

It's damn annoying , I agree with op. 20 messages a week over and above daily e mails . Can't wait for my membership to end this month .

You sure that will end the SMS's/e-mail's? Not how it works in most cases at least in my experience .....

Yip, I know how it works. The biggest problem I have with this is that you're sharing the contact details of everyone in your contact list, whether THEY agreed to it or not. Who you share your personal contact details with is up to you, but I don't think everyone in my address book would be happy if I shared their contact details with an unknown third party

yeah..it is a bit of a grey moral line

This comes too late and after the irritation caused by multiple SMS’s, this may seem obsolete, but non the less, we appreciate the painful experience caused by repetitive comms, which add little to no value, and for this, we apologise.

We have since resolved the issue with our mail sever and SMS portal, which includes the issue around Opting Out, and endeavour to improve the speed in which we respond to our customer feedback.

From our website or social media platforms on Twitter & Facebook, you can get in touch with us and we will resolve any issues.

Appreciating this is after the fact, again our apologies.

We hope you were able to get what you wanted from the Sale.

Kind regards,

Cycle Lab

It is great to see that you are looking on improving the situation, it is also good that you acknowledge the issue.

Thank you.

I trust I shall never receive an SMS from Cyclelab again, neither from the golf place. I don't even play golf.

If I should receive another sms after having opting out (at my cost and never having asked to be on the list in the first place) I shall be expecting a lot more than an apology.

What more would you expect than an apology and rectification?

the second time around? after having opted out AGAIN at my cost, time and effort from something I did not subscribe to in the first place. This is SPAM and its illegal.

Don't disagree with the sentiment, just interested in what more you would expect? Not being difficult, just wondering. They obviously couldn't go back and reverse history.
