Throw it away. It's not worth the hassle and you lbs needs your money.

Hi Hubbers - are tubless tyres glued to the wheel? I'm really battling to even make a little gap. Some advice, please! Tyre is Racing Ralph 27.5.

The first step is to let out all the air out of the tyre.

Some rim/tyre combos are worse than others, some I have had to cut the tyre off the rim...

whatever you do, try not to damage the rim...damage the tyre by all means, you damage the rim you gonna pay...

Darn, ok, I think I'll take to LBS. Don't have time do it and then fit the new one with the hassles associated with that. Missing the good old tubes... but only a little.

Thank you guys!

The struggle is real. Some dish washing liquid all around the tire bead and inside of the rim will help, but it going to require some brute force and a couple tire levers. If you have never seated a tubeless tire before then that may be even more frustrating. It takes one or two practice runs to get the nak of it.

remove the valve core to ensure there is no air causing the bead to stay in place, put the wheel flat on the floor and stand on the tire, grip the rim from the inside out and pull up, that will break the bead and you should be able to pull it the rest of the way. be careful not to bend the rotor and watch for scratching on the ground etc.

On a serious note though, make sure the bead of the tyre is free of the rim bead all the way round by pushing both beads towards the centre of the rim. You should feel it pop free.

I have a feeling you may be trying to get a tyre lever in there without first unseating the bead, which is pretty much impossible.
