Late saturday morning, sometime after 10h00

We were there early.

After coming through Cobra and climbing up to the start of "Z", there were lots of riders coming over (and skipping the Cobra) to ride the new trail.

By the time we left the place was pumping with riders.

Now they just need to get a coffee shop like the Dairy Shed up and running. Many riders are simply going down to Conters after the ride for coffee or parking there, riding directly to Hoogies and coming back again for their coffee and flipping awesome cakes from the Dairy Shed.

Agree, they are missing a trick! Know a few people who park and ride from the Dairy shed even though they live in D'ville

I bucked the trend and went back to Conties this weekend to test the work the 2 Droo's had done on my rear can (I have lock out and low speed compressions now! Awesome!) and it was nicely quiet. Seems like everyone was over at Hoogies.

It's like a 140 Revelation... not as trendy but still alot of fun!

Got to do loops alone while tweaking and then hammered the coffee and omelette. #ReasonsToRide

Yup Conters (paired with Bloemendaler) has got enough of everything to make the trek over to Hoogies seem a bit of a schlep sometimes. And Hoogies is just too busy at the moment.

Just a quick question: where is the best place to park and ride my bike on most of the trails? I do have Tygerberg membership.

Conties - Hoogies - Bloemendal?

Conters would be my vote. Definitely the safest option as well. Best coffee shop makes it a winner.

Agreed, it is also more "central" allowing you to tailor your route to what you would like to achieve on the day.

Any bets on how long "Trail Z" is gonna take to turn into a dust bowl during the drier months?

A few of the switchbacks and berms has been damaged already by dragging tires, and is quite dusty.

Agree, powdery already don't see it lasting long in summer with all the traffic it's taking

Think Thermotage will get his technical trail after all

Conties - Hoogies - Bloemendal?

Each have its own unique loops

All equally good

Varying terrain

Conties have the caffeine doping stop and water hole which is cool
