T-Bob Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Blockhaus... can't wait! Reason I named my company that when I moved here and rode up this mountain after having ridden up that mountain!

carbon29er Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Hopefully we'll see some real racing today. The first 7 days have been pretty boring. Maybe yesterday not so much after once Gazprom missed the break and did some work. We waited a long time for the action to start in the crosswinds when Quickstep gave a master class in team riding but apart from that? Struggling to find a highlight. I do enjoy that a newbie got pink, then the nicest guy in the peloton continued his record of GT stage wins to claim the jersey and now Quickstep have it through another newbie and the likeable Bob Jungels.
'Dale Posted May 14, 2017 Author Posted May 14, 2017 7 kms to go ???????????? Only watching yesterday's racing now Wow ????????
'Dale Posted May 14, 2017 Author Posted May 14, 2017 Big stage today Yesterday's effort will be in the legs as the pace was sizzling ????????
HappyMartin Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 I wonder how many wheels Nairo will suck today? As many as he can and as many as it takes. It's called team work and tactics. You wouldn't expect Jantjies to beat the Bulls without the rest of the Lions team would you? Actually that might be a bad example.
'Dale Posted May 14, 2017 Author Posted May 14, 2017 It's promising to be action-packed today with the Blokhaus climb It's worth noting that the Blockhaus ascent is officially 13.65km long, but there's more to it than that as the road actually starts rising from 26km out, with a gentler rise and then a dip down preceding the climb proper. It's one for the pure climbers ????????????
'Dale Posted May 14, 2017 Author Posted May 14, 2017 Today's pain-cave slaving for their teams Here are the 9 riders in the break. Alexey Tstatevich (Gazprom-RusVelo), Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo), Marco Marcato (UAE Team Emirates), Omar Fraile (Dimension Data), Jan Tratnik (CCC Sprandi Polkowice), Matteo Montaguti (AG2R La Mondiale), Luis Leon Sanchez (Astana), Matteo Busato (Wilier-Triestina) and Iljo Keisse (Quick-Step Floors).
