Can we just take a moment to appreciate how insanely well Ryan Gibbons is doing, in his first Grand Tour ever (confirmation?)? He just joined the DDQ World Tour squard, I think.

He's supposed to be leading out Kristian Sbaragli, but he's holding his own incredibly well.  Just check out who finished behind him yesterday:

6 Ryan Gibbons (RSA) Dimension Data     7 Sacha Modolo (Ita) UAE Team Emirates     8 André Greipel (Ger) Lotto Soudal     9 Jasper Stuyven (Bel) Trek-Segafredo     10 Roberto Ferrari (Ita) UAE Team Emirates

We've been giving him the credit he deserves every day so far trust me.

I'm very excited to see what the future bring for him.

Bright future certainly. Lets hope they cultivate his talent into something special.

Hats off to him certainly!

CONI appear to be too strict on their riders, linked to the Italian police and the fact that doping is criminally illegal in Italy it appears the riders are at a disadvantage.

Added to that is the most likely stage winners are either injured, like Aru, or racing the TDF, like Viviani.

Ferrari was very close on stage 2

Nizzolo on stage 3

Close but no cigar................

Not surprised you missed it between all the off topic cat fighting and snide comments not directed at, but about other hubbers. . .

Can't wait for the TdF thread, that should be fun. . .

says so himself....

Looking ahead to the remainder of the season, Thomas explained that he is already looking ahead to the Tour de France where he will ride in support of Chris Froome. Froome has won the last two Tours and will line out aiming for a third straight yellow jersey.

Rob Ferrari of UAE Emirates is unique in that he's named after a crime. I wonder if his is called Nick....?

Lot's of suspicion around his motives:

I did suspect that SKY would pull him .. I actually thought they would've done so a few days ago...

Yes, thats the logical explanation. But hey, don't let logic get in the way of a good tinfoil hat scandal.
