Been thinking about them too, what I do know is all of the rapide products I have bought in the past have been substantially better than their price suggested they would be.

Also dealing with Wayne is an absolute pleasure, guy is an absolute champ.

Couldn't agree more!

The Rapidé R25 rims are 25mm internal – 30mm external widths, and strong as a house. I'm a big guy (102kg before breakfast), and I have been hammering these wheels mercilessly for 11 months flat out. Not so much as a peep. I highly recommend them, and as always, dealing with Wayne is a pleasure.

Wayne is a champ. I have bought other products from him and you can see his passion and it reflects in his products. He always has time to chat.

For those who have never dealt with him, highly recommended.

Wayne replied to my mail within 10mins. Awesome

That is the thing about him, communication is so quick and he is happy to answer everything you ask him without getting annoyed.

When you place an order that item arrives so quickly that it makes any other online shopping seem very slow in comparison.

I've got two sets of Mavic Crossrides that I use with different tyre combinations ( Nobby Nick on one set and Thunderburt on the other) they were easy to convert to tubeless and I have hammered both sets beyond normal use. I have had no issues with these wheel sets thus far and for the price they are exceptional value for money.

This has been on my wishlist for quite a while

Mavic Crossride + rim strips to make then tubeless

I bought a wheel set from rapide. Very good value for money.

Ditto. Just got a set of Trail 25's. Brillint service price and most of all the Rims are outstanding. Already fitted with tape and valves when delivered. Just needed tyres.

I have a good set of Fulcrum Red Metal XL's with brand new Bontrager XR 3 tyre at front (it has done 40kms). and Specialized at back, as good as new. You can have the whole lot for R4,500. I am putting Rovals on my training bike as well. Fulcrum good wheelset, but I love Roval albeit quite expensive.
