What is this Specialized Power saddle all about

So on my ride last night I noticed that my Right bum cheek started going numb. I assume this is normal in the beginning until your sit bones get used to taking the pressure?

I'd keep an eye on that. Perhaps get a bike fitting would help if you haven't already. If it persists or gets worse, seek help. You never know what the consequences will be. Especially down there

My left cheek experienced the same after a couple of rides on my road bike with the saddle, even after having a bike fit done. Went to have it checked out, and had a bit of piriformis syndrome. Did some exercises that helped, although I don't experience the same sort of pain on my MTB with Fizik saddle. Not suggesting it was caused by the saddle...evidence is inconclusive; might just be an improper bike fit.

Lets hope its due to not a proper setup. I did fit the saddle myself. Took it in last night after my ride and they changed the angle to -1' on the front tip.

Will report back later tonight after my ride but I am doing a seat height adjustment as soon as I get home before the ride. Got this feeling my seat is to high and the saddle is to far back.

People, Quick question: Is saddle sore/redness/tenderness a sign of something wrong or not enough time int the saddle?

I have changed to some bib shorts which are awsome and keeps everything nicely together and now to changed to the power saddle but still it gets sore. I am only a weekend warrior so what is the deal? More time in saddle needed?

Just got (and fitted naturally) my Power Saddle. Haven't been out for a ride yet, but will do so today.

The shop only had 155's and I was fairly sure I needed a 143. They did an ass test and I measured in at 145. LBS said I'll be 100% on a 155. Is he just saying this because he doesn't have any 143s in stock?

They test me as well- 3 times just to make sure and all 3 measured at 155. They didn't had in stock so they ordered.

This was from Lynnwood Cyclery in Pretoria from which I've got very good service. And not for the first time.

which bits (I assume not the saddle itself) are sore red and tender because really none of you should be if everything fits and is adjusted correctly etc etc

Nope, not the saddle. Its the skin parts where the thigh meets the butt, like chaffing but i use chamois cream, have bib shorts now to limit movement and my saddle height seems to be correct. Could it be the saddle? It happened on my Henge also.

so we will assume that the bibs fit properly and aren't too small or the wrong cut (maybe they are )

have you had your ass measured for this saddle cause a saddle that's too wide could cause this or too narrow also because its not supporting you in the right place

if your saddle height is wrong (or your setup) you could be rocking (or be too far forward or back on the saddle) so you need to be sure the setup is correct because any pain or injury should not happen when you ride (tired and sore - yes /injury and pain - no )

Yes, measured twice at a spez store on their assometer thing and they confirmed a 155 will be perfect as i am nowhere near the 143 mark.

It could beba setuo issue. I did feel towards the end of my ride my seatpost felt a bit low as there was a fair amount of bend in my knee so i adjusted it a little bit, hence my other thread on breaking the clamp bolt, but by then the tendernesd had developed. Will see how it goes on tomorrow's ride.

I also ride with flats, 780mm bar and 60mm stem so hesitant for a bike fit as they will tell me its all wrong but as long as the saddle height, fore and aft and angle is tight then i should he good.

Its my first pair ever so no idea yet which inw is right but its better than the shorts with the inner.

Going to check my setup again and give it a go. Thanks for the advice, appreciate it.

Ok so after a quick 10 min setup I went for a ride in the rain to test it out. Power Comp is great. I kinda forgot I was cycling as I was having to much fun trying to make my bike dirty.

Only when I got home I realized that I'm not sore anywhere. Will be keeping my sadle

Does anyone have a 155 Power Comp that they're not getting along with?  I really want one, but the Spez shops are out of stock...

There is an ad in the clasifieds for a 155mm Power Pro at a very good price (unused). I was going to take it until some unfortunate expenses came up... PM me if you want the contact details of the guy selling it.
