Gibbons in 5 rider breakaway 8min up the road..

Another example of how a rider is suddenly making the crucial breaks as soon as they leave TDD/NTT...

Odd...

GO GIBBO!

They are not bringing him back. They are now racing for 2nd.

All back together again but I wouldn't be surprised if JA somehow pulls off a bunch sprint win.

Although I'm hoping one of the Belgian besties, GvA & Neasen, can get a win.

9k to go.

They’re a really impressive team in so many ways.

I’ve become a big fan.

Wouldn’t it be nice for them to add a grand tour (GC) win but that doesn’t seem to be the focus and make up of the team.

They win bike races... Their team lights up the Grand Tours, wins a heap of stages and turns up at the classics every year.

I hate to say it, but if I was a bike racer I would be way more amped to win and race the classics and monuments than I would over the GT's.

I find the GT's to often lack Panache......

I read somewhere that Patrick Lefevere wants the team to target one GT someday, and try and win GC. Apparently that’s why they signed Evenepoel and he’s being developed to do just that..

Well done QuickStep

Very smart ride from them once again. It's kinda become remarkable how good they've become at winning their home races if you consider their troubles from a few years ago. The Stannard win being the best example.

Also just how cool is it to see the Muur van Geraardsbergen in a race. Just such an iconic and beautiful climb!

A very special young talent with the capacity to win a GT for sure. Let's hope he can come back to the same level and confidence he was prior to his crash.
