I don't know the race route that well but I'm guessing there is a loop near the end where it's conveniant to DNF and ride a few km along a short cut to the team busses parked at the finish line..Yeah, it was a 30 km loop that they rolled twice to reach the 201 km finish ???? When teams are 'building' or constantly playing the underdog, the basic culture has an escape clause in it. I'm sure they are all still 'trying their best' but often that same best in a different environment leads to far better results consistently. It is why sometimes better for a team to shed the odd 'star' if he or she is detrimental or bigger than the team.

The breaks will be chased down by bigger teams if the mix is wrong. If the mix of the break is right DD are poked - not enough firepower. That said - they have the best classics team yet. I'm hopeful. It's too early in the season the write the off yet (although I'm already worried about Maincheese).

I think they should just end the discussion for all time and race all together and put both races' prize money in one pot, they get televised and see what happens Plus the men race over 200km again todaytrolling on a sunday, was the dominee that boring?
