"Basically with the system you can choose between three pressures and the lowest pressure is the one I used on the cobblestones, the intermediate one was more for in-between sections because to pump again you need to push some watts, so I didn't want to push a lot of watts to go into too much higher pressure with too many watts.

"And In the end for sure I put the higher pressure in the tyres to try to be as fast as possible."

- PFP, reviewing her use of 'self-pumping tyres' and adjustable tyre pressure system after a solid performance at RvV in the Women's WorldTour

Hmmm, rumours of rain gods making an appearance at the Hell Of The North.

Current predictions only for 1 mm rain in the morning, but it might change. The wind will be present, though....

Can we start with some predictions chaps… who do you think will bag the worlds hardest one day madness this weekend? Let the name dropping commence 🤓

Rain forecast has shifted to 6mm rain at 4am on sunday morning. So some wind and wet cobbles possibly during their race.

I read that MvdP was ill during last week, hence not on top form during Ronde. I hope he is fully recovered come sunday…

These flats will suite Mads P and Ganna. Not sure if Pogi will be able to drop them on the flats.

Jinne I love Pogachar but just cant see a place where he will have an advantage big enough to drop the other guys. That UAE train are gonna bring hectic stuff thats for sure. Firstly to keep the golden boy safely to the finish, cause heck, if he gets hurt you're gonna hear it nè, and secondly to be there if the opportunity for the win presents itself!

Wouts late altitude camp started to kick in mid race in flanders on sunday😜 . Seemed like he was struggling and was gonna get dropped and then all of a sudden he rode like the Wout that could win MVP in the past. He must still be bedonnerd over that flat he go a few years ago just after dropping MVD where he could have won.

And Mads....ai the guy is unlucky to have the competition he has atm. Jeese he is riding well right now. My heart hopes he gets this monument win. Somewhere the universe should give an oak a lucky day hey?

Then theres Ghanna...if you can finish with guys like MVP and Pogachar after the bombing on those final hills of MSR you must be something. Not there at Flanders, but the hills...so lets see on the flat cobbles.

Oh and MVP...nothing to say. The guy knows how to. He will be there. He is immune to bad luck when it matters and even if he gets it he just ride back from it.

Gonna be a lekker watch

Heart wants Wout to win it, just like Sagan who "should" have won more but eventually got his win.

Similarly, Wout needs the favourites to hesitate a couple of moments when he makes his move and then needs a willing(and able) accomplice in the front group to go with him to the line.

Head says MvdP takes it.

Dan saying riding the Arrenberg sector is like driving a Lambo flat out down a road thats full of speedbumps. The cobbles are wild. Never rode a road bike on cobbles but if it feels anything like riding a mtb on corrugation it must be brutal. Watt eating baby head sized rocks for a road.

Just seen a recon by wildcard team Unibet Rockets and they even took showers afterwards, not all riders but some. 😳😳😳. I’m mega disappointed the team allowed this generation to partake in something so iconic and slotted for the finishers only. In many articles over the history of this great race, you read the riders dreaming of getting into the velodrome and taking to the showers. I reckon they just jinxed themselves so badly. Anyways my 2 cents plus 15.5Vat. 🤓
