ASTANA Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Which one are you most keen on buying when your in the shop for example? Add comments on what you like about your choice, and no dubble bookings - this is between the two. Lets see what SA choose.
scotty Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Buy Ride if i see something interesting, subscribe to Bicycling but wont be renewing it when it expires as i get it long after the shops PLUS they always offer incentives for new subsribers but diddly squat for those renewing theirs.
RaceChick Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Scotty, I agree with you. A lot has changed in Bicycling. My opinion it is not that great anymore????
Christie Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 I occasionally buy procycling. Great mag, would buy it more often if it was less expensive.
Slowbee Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 oh dear .... sounds like a marketing thread ... why do you have to choose? put in a 3rd option - both and a forth option - read neither .
scotty Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Racechick I find the articles repetitive and you can bet that every year they cover training for Argus, 94.7 etc but then i suppose that caters for the newbies to the sport that have not seen them yet.
Thug Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Neither. A years subscription to Mountain Bike Action equates to 2 months issues of both magazines.
1hill@aTime Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 or you could do a search this has been discussed in lenght before
RaceChick Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Sorry, I am an old hand at bicycle mags but a newbie on this site. Next subject please!!
Pickled Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Have a ride sub through club, so that is default, Bicycling, my wife gave me a subs for a present, she so sweet. As to which i prefer, they both sometimes have nothing to read, i then just look at the bike porn. In terms of service, never dealt with ride, but bicycling, when i tried to take up an offer, they pulled some stunt with discount, etc that was never mentioned in my original conversations. not too chuffed with them. don't think i will renew again. I do enjoy the internationals though, just a bit much on a monthly basis.
scotty Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 It helps to have a LBS with a coffee shop and overseas mags to read while enjoying a cuppa and a muffin.
