Assistance required - Ghost bike for fallen Hubber.

So based on feedback from everyone we start at Bidon 7h00. We ride to the ghost bike and back (Idea behind this is not to leave anyone exposed to a return journey that would have them on HP alone). Everyone so far okay with this?

It happened in the emergency lane travelling from east to west.  If he had kept on riding, he would have passed featherbrook estate on his left.

A comment on the proposed route, a part of it is on the N14, is this not highway and therefore illegal for cyclists? If so, it goes against the BDF pledge...!

The end of highway sign shows before the Muldersdrift offramp. Perhaps someone can confirm that this is still the case.

The section of the N14 from mulders drift offramp is not highway anymore.

I drove on the N14 this morning. The highway ends before the Muldersdrift off ramp. It is safe for us to use the proposed route.

Fixed it.

Not wanting to throw a spanner, but people still drive fast/crazy out there. Be safe!!

Where do you guys intend making the turn on HP? From Bidon to the bike is an easterly direction. The bike is on the other side of the road(heading west on HP)

This is also bugging me. Any ideas? 

The one option is to turn left at Viljoen (where the Sasol Garage is, opposite side of Ruimsig Country Estate), going down Hole-In-One Avenue, turning right into Peter Road and then right again into Hendrik Potgieter. (This is a busy intersection)
