Nah, you'll get eaten by a shark....

Just drive with your car to Simonstown, do not cycle that way.... otherwise, Cycle thru Stellenbosch until you reach Bottelary Road, Cycle down Bottelary and make your way thru Stikland towards Stellenberg, cycle thru towards Durbanville...

Agh, forget it, is way too long that way around....

It's suicidal. Years ago tried a small part from the Muizenberg side. Tried it more than once just to be sure I had not imagined the first hair raising experience. Cars & trucks will just ride over you. No shoulder in parts & no one is about to wait. Don't be fooled that where there is a shoulder you will be safe. There will just be two cars abreast. Seriously dude, my advice, "Stay the Hell away unless you are trying to speed up your meeting with your Maker".

3 years ago, we cycled to Rooi els as a club and we took Baden Powell to get into Stellies. Its a very very dangerous stretch of road. Hardly any shoulder, reckless drivers and the road surface was terrible. Lots of fine glass scattered amongst the road and almost everybody had atleast one puncture.

My advice as everyone elses: Rather ride local or park your car near Simons Town
