Well done. We had some rain in the Cape and i rolled over when my alarm went off.

But got out of bed 10 minutes later to get ready for the commute. Totally worth it in the end and missed the rain. :)

started bucketing down when we got to the coffee shop and stopped as we were about to leave :)

What a bloody tough ride home yesterday. Amazing (or rather schocking) how much fitness one can loose in three weeks.  Due to a small work function I did not have the right lunch yesterday and it was a abnormal warm day during the day.  So predicted temps for my ride home was to be 12 when I started and about 8 by the time I finished.  Well the reality was it dropped to 0 in a matter of 30 mins.  Luckily I was dressed warm in the upper body but the legs were exposed.  Exposure to cold, lack of food, lack of fitness and a long dark ride alone made it tough.  Looking forward to tommorows commute ;)

Second day of no water in Sandton = no commuting. Hope it's back by tomorrow ...

Didn't stop me... LOL! I had what you would call an Ocean Basket shower.

(Wet wipes supplied by Ocean Basket - What was left in my water bottle for a rinse!)

300 ml Shower! (What are those Capetonians complaining about?)

Baby wipes = commuting ... just saying  :whistling:

LOL Plenty of babywipes around - company supplied after we ran out of our water-cooler-water yesterday.

I haven't tried getting conditioner out of my hair with baby wipes - will l see how that works tomorrow!

i had a shower from the fire hydrant in the complex :)

No wonder you made sure you rode downwind from us this morning.

A considerate cyclist.

For a long time wanted to use the bit of Spruit between Jan Smuts and William Nicol for my commute - just never feel safe by myself or even with Nancy.  So finally my hubbie agreed to commute with me to Sandton this morning. 5 kms to Delta park, and then some great singletrack until we had to get on the Sandton tar road.

A great start to a working day - hoping we could do this more often.

just looked at Endomondo ... looks like Monday I will hit the 7k mark...just in time for December leave on the 15th :P

Well done.  I just missed the 6K mark. But next year will set my aim for the 7k mark.  Getting myself ready to start my commutes earlier in the year.

I have a new phone ... so Endomondo has been "stable" as of late :P

Seems like a lot of people are on the verge of the next 1000 at the moment.

When will Stefano make that 8000?

And will Jerome hit that 7000 today? Tomorrow?

Can Ludwig squeeze in another commute to get to 6000 before the end of the year?

And will Willem get the 127.4 needed to get to his 6000 before the end of the year?

Will Andrew get to 4000 before he goes on leave, or will he have to cycle to the shops while on holiday?

If Nick can cycle 227.4 to get to 4000 then all top 10 would be over 4000 for the year.

Will Steven get to 2000?

Will Nancy get to 1500? (Maybe between Xmas and new year when it's quiet?)

So much possibility.
