I must say I'm rather disappointed by this thread compared to TDF, I don't have TV so relied on thehub for my updates.

You roadies are slacking

Sorry about this . . .  we have it on TV here in Spain (naturally) and I try and follow the Spanish commentary and watch updates on Cycling News to keep abreast of what's going on, but Cycling News, which was woefully slow with its updates at Le Tour is even worse now with the Vuelta. They are often minutes behind and if you're trying to comment on here close to "real time" its no use at all.

Very frustrating :-(

Quite a harsh punishment..

Maybe some anger in their decision seeing as he's leaving the team?

"Barguil openly expressed that he didn't race to conform to the team's goal, which left us with no other option than to take this decision" https://t.co/dmuBFCFodM

Doubt it, its more common for the teams to over work riders that are changing teams, this leaves your new competition a little more fatigued.

Good, its a team sport. No place for prime donnas in a team sport like cycling.

DS' need to nip this type of behavior in the bud before a precedent is set.

Yup, he should learn from Chris. Even if your leader is a total tw*t you should always turn around and lose your chance to win a Grand Tour. Or at least rip your earpiece out like Landa did a while ago and go for the stage win.
