Vetplant Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Seems like there is a big break 6mins up the road, has De Gent in it But no DD guys.....And there Patch beat me to it
Vetplant Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 No Major climbs for the GC guys to take time on each other, so it would seem the break has another great chance to succeed today.

Vetplant Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Crosswinds cause some panic for a couple of minutes but the peloton is back together
Vetplant Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Breakaway group still has a healthy lead, should probably take the stage
Bonus Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 I must say I'm rather disappointed by this thread compared to TDF, I don't have TV so relied on thehub for my updates. You roadies are slacking Sorry about this . . . we have it on TV here in Spain (naturally) and I try and follow the Spanish commentary and watch updates on Cycling News to keep abreast of what's going on, but Cycling News, which was woefully slow with its updates at Le Tour is even worse now with the Vuelta. They are often minutes behind and if you're trying to comment on here close to "real time" its no use at all. Very frustrating :-(

Maybe some anger in their decision seeing as he's leaving the team?

Patchelicious Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Quite a harsh punishment.. Maybe some anger in their decision seeing as he's leaving the team?Doubt it, its more common for the teams to over work riders that are changing teams, this leaves your new competition a little more fatigued.

No place for prime donnas in a team sport like cycling. DS' need to nip this type of behavior in the bud before a precedent is set.

Even if your leader is a total tw*t you should always turn around and lose your chance to win a Grand Tour. Or at least rip your earpiece out like Landa did a while ago and go for the stage win.
