you can do it without the watch easily as well hey.

Wattbike hub app links to wattbike via bluetooth, the bike will link to your heartrate strap and then you can get the workout from wattbike hub and upload to garmin connect afterwards.

Been linking them for a few years now, well ever since watt Bikes were introduced to VA gyms..

You can also link most models of the Gamin Edge's as well as the ForeRunners and Fenix models.

Just the Edges you have to manually enter the WattBike code (then you can store a few on the 800), when the others pick up the codes automatically when you start to pedal and hold them in memory for future usage.

Hey All,

I want to let you know by experiment I have connected my heart rate monitor, bike cadence, power and speed of my Garmin 920XT to a WATTBIKE at Virgin Active Gyms.

To my delightful surprise I have great output on Garmin Connect and even Strava. So if you ever wondered about this all, give it a try.

How did you do it?

Go on to the watt bike and the Ant+ settings, make a note of the Wattbike ID, then on your Garmin, go to indoor cycling, then navigate to the settings / sensors, select the power and pair it, then pair the speed and cadence sensor. That's the 3 you needs.

Lastly, go to the Heart rate set on the Watt bike and pair your HRM.... you are done.... The best is to do it when there's NO ONE around on the other bikes as you may just pickup their setting.

Turns out my old 910xt Forerunner doesn't handle it too well. I can't actually input the id and it picked up other bikes. But thanks for the instructions.

In the end I went with the wattbike hub app - I see it's been updated to allow connections to training peaks and strava. Problem is you can't take your phone with you if you need a pee half way through the session - it looses the first half of your session.... grrrrr
