If BMC went through the correct channels and lodged a protest, within the time limit, then they would've been heard. If Rojas tweeted a few hours after the protest window, or someone from the team didn't follow that process, then they can whine all they want - the protest later won't help. Goes back to consistent application of the rules by the officials. They choose to turn a blind eye on certain incidents, petty or not.

I just heard the commentator mention Sabinanigo - I would guess he is saying "this is what happened to Froome last year in stage 15 of the Vuelta that started in Sabinanigo" Sky missed an early split and that's the end of the race for them.
